People cannot download geoDefense Swarm!

Okay, so awhile back I had a situation where I submitted an update to geoDefense.  Apple approved it on a Friday... which would have been all good and well except something was wrong with the way the update was packaged and when peoople went to download it it wouldn't work.  Everyone was having their geoDefense screwed up by updating, such they could no longer play!

Long story short, I did everything I could think of to try and reach out to the folks at Apple (note: I believe someone came in on the weekend and fixed it, which was much apprechiated!).  But there was no direct way to reach them... not an "emergency only" hotline or something.  And geoDefense was like at #6 in games chart and my email box was melting down entirely.

Eventually word go through, I guess, and by Saturday is was working again.  But it was the worst night ever trying to stay on top of all the email complaints.  To this day I still get emails from people who are having trouble and I have to tell them how to delete it from their phone and iTunes and redownload it, etc.

Well.....

It has happened again!

I updated the large icon (the one that shows in the store) for geoDefense Swarm.  I'm not sure if its related, but I can only imagine so... but now when people try to buy geoDefense Swarm they are unable to download it!

And when you go to use iTunes, apparently it gives you some error message about not being able to download the artwork.

Users are stuck.  They are emailing me and complaining even though I have absolutely no control over any of this!  When they call iTunes support, whatever meathead they have on the other end tells them its my fault and that my servers (of which there are now) is the cause.

I've fired off emails left and right to whoever I can think of, but again... I've got noone I can contact in an emergency.  And Apple employees are about to head home for the weekend.  Will it be like this all weekend?  Is it affecting everyone?  Just some?  Temporary?  I don't know, and no way to find out.

Apple.  Serioulsy.  What am I supposed to do when this kind of thing happens?

UPDATE : This is affecting both geoDefense and geoDefense Swarm (and I presume the lite version) as I updated the icons on all three this morning!

UPDATE 2: I emailed someone who is a fan of geoDefense within Apple who've I corresponded with a couple times.  He says he's following up for me.  I owe him big time!  Know that Apple is good people... my frustration is not with them but with the powerlessness I feel when something like this happens and I can't get ahold of anyone in a timely fashion to fix it.  It's not their fault, they have a trillion developers now... but still, I just wish there was a big red "this is urgent" button (of course every one who's app is two weeks out in review would probably press it too).

Update 3:  Still no luck.  I've tried reuploading the icons.  It seems to "work" but doesn't change anything on the iTunes store side.  It probably takes time to roll out to the various servers, I don't know.  No real update from Apple about anything that's been done yet.

Nice huh?  Worse... its probably "go home for the weekend" time for ol' Cupertino about now.  Hopefully this won't will get fixed soon. :/

Strangely my support email has not melted down.  Had a few emails right up front about this, but now it's strangely silent.  Is anyone seeing the new icon show up in iTunes?
