geoDefense used to be great. Until those anoying OpenFeint messages started to show up. Plus, I dont want my score or any other data from my iPhone to be uploaded to some server.

Is it possible to completely deactivate OpenFeint?

Thanks,

Alex

I 'm with Alex. What does it

I 'm with Alex.

What does it take to get rid of the OpenFeint crap? I paid for the game and I do not need, or want, the OpenFeint prompts

Couldn't the developers make the OpenFeint promps optional?

geoDefense 1.5 allows you to

geoDefense 1.5 allows you to disable OpenFeint. You go to the appropiate OpenFeint screen then you can delete your account.

Well, in this discussion

Well, in this discussion http://www.tubestime.com/watch/doubletap-episode-11 the guys discuss the role of OpenFeint across different games. Think, maybe you'll need it in the future.

I inquired of the OpenFeint

I inquired of the OpenFeint helpdesk and they can't do anything.

The only choice you could do is if you had a jailbroken game and installed an older version, if you hadn't backed it up yourself. Morally, if you bought the game you should be able to justify "illegal" downloading of a previous version. I only had 1.4.9 backed up, which is fine for my 2nd gen iPod Touch, but for the High-Res update you need 1.5.

Either way, it's pretty sad, but that's the way it is. (I'm also not enthusased in the slightest concerning geoD 2. Yes I've seen the pictures, and it bears little resemblance to this version, which makes it unique among the TD genre.)
