I remember The Eye taking me weeks to beat on the original.  I finally broke down and read spoilers from around the 'net and even then it took me a few days to get the timing right.

Beating Revenge of the Eye only took my three tries, though.  And it wasn't even close at the end . . . no sense of panic whatsoever like I got from the original.

Was this just a fluke or did anyone else experience this?
