Best tower to buy when $$$ is not an issue and whats the 411 on electric towers

I'm really getting off on the endless hard level (last hard level/crazy 88's).

After wave 200+ money is nothing I got 30,000$$ to spare I just don't know what to spend it on? Are all the towers balanced? I'm guessing not for instance a fully upgraded laser has to be stronger then a fully upgraded laser etc. So whats the best? Is it the electric tower? They seems very powerful but I don't have the time to test if making a bunch of these ***ers is worth it. Do their effects stack if I make a bunch of fully upgraded towers or is having a say 7 fully upgraded right next to each other pointless cuz they possibly cancel each other out?

Their effect seems a little complicated compared to the other towers so maybe a little explanation on how they really work and how they interact with other towers of the same type.

typo: ment to say fully upgraded laser has to be more powerful then fully upgraded blaster.

I'm asking the same question. Imo, it depends on the path of the creep. If it's a straightaway, use the laser, if it's at a place where the creeps are congested, use the missile. I don't think that the thump tower is powerful enough to justify keeping it in high-money situations, even if can hit up to 5 hexes.
